Buy Epiduo gel for treating acne online

Epiduo is a medicine used on affected areas to help clear up acne. It is common for acne treatments to come in the form of a topical medication such as a gel or cream and epiduo is no exception. It is available as a gel, and can help you see results within a few weeks.

It contains two active ingredients, and treats the inflammation and other symptoms associated with acne. The skin problem does not usually cause any long term physical health impacts, but can affect a person’s self-image. Epiduo helps tackle the problem as swiftly as possible.

How does Epiduo work?

The two active ingredients in Epiduo gel are called adapalene and benzoyl peroxide and these work together to tackle the cause and symptoms of acne.

Adapalene belongs to a family of medicines called retinoids. It increases the turnover of skin cells on the treated area, and unblocks the skin’s pores.

At the same time, benzoyl peroxide works to reduce white and blackheads by reducing the bacteria that cause acne, and by causing your skin to dry and peel.

Am I ok to use Epiduo?

Epiduo can be used by adults, adolescents and children, but children must be aged 9 or above to use this medication. Although Epiduo is designed for those suffering from acne, certain circumstances may make it unsuitable for you to use. Speak to your doctor before using Epiduo if:

  • You have cuts, scrapes, sunburn or eczema. You should not use epiduo on areas of skin affected by any of these things.
  • You are using another acne product already. Epiduo should not be used at the same time as other medications which treat acne.
  • You are pregnant. Epiduo should NOT be used during pregnancy. It is ok to use this gel during breast-feeding. However, to avoid contact exposure of the infant, application of epiduo to the chest should be avoided.

If you have used or recently used any other medicines, then mention these to your doctor or local pharmacist before you start using epiduo. You should avoid excessive exposure to sunlight and UV lamps while using epiduo gel.

Epiduo Gel dosage instructions

Epiduo gel should be applied once a day, at night. Apply a thin layer to the whole affected area, not just individual spots, and wash your hands after use. Wash the affected area and dab it dry before application. Avoid getting this gel in your hair, eyes, mouth, nostrils or any other very sensitive areas of the body. Keep the gel away from coloured fabrics too.

It may take a few weeks before epiduo starts to have a noticeable effect. If you feel the effect of epiduo is too strong or too weak, then talk to your doctor or local pharmacist about this before potentially adjusting your dosage.

Epiduo Gel side effects

Like all medications, Epiduo may have side effects, but not everyone gets them. Common side effects include:

  • Dry/red/irritated skin
  • Local skin rash (irritative contact dermatitis)
  • Burning sensations
  • Scaling

Other side effects are possible but uncommon. If you do get side effects, they are usually short-lasting, but you should contact your doctor for advice if you get any side effects that are prolonged or severe. Stop using Epiduo immediately and contact your doctor if you think you may be having an allergic reaction (swelling of the hands and face, difficulty breathing etc.) or if you develop hives.

What if I use more Epiduo than I should?

If you use more epiduo gel on your skin than recommended, it will not get rid of your acne any quicker but it will increase your chances of experiencing side effects. It is particularly likely for skin to become red and irritated if you apply more of this gel than needed.

Epiduo gel over the counter

Epiduo is not a medicine which is sold over the counter and requires a prescription from a suitably qualified medical professional before it can be given to a patient. Happily, it is easy to place an order for epiduo from online doctor services such as Doctor-4-U. To confirm your order, you’ll need to complete a short consultation which determines if this medicine is suitable for you to use. When one of our GMC/EU registered doctors has reviewed your answers, they will determine if your suitable to take your chosen medicine and if they do, an electronic prescription will be created and our partner pharmacy will dispatch your order.

How is my order shipped to me?

When an order is ready for shipping, it is collected and delivered by either the Royal Mail or DPD depending on your preference (or possibly your location or the item you ordered). Each order is assigned a tracking number, which will be emailed to you at the time of dispatch. Your medicine will be sent in plain and discreet packaging. We do not include any branding on our packaging nor any labels which inform readers what type of product is contained within.
