It increases the flow of blood to the penis, allowing the user to get and sustain an erection, and also giving the user the ability to have sexual intercourse. Like with other injection treatments such as Caverject, Invicorp is used by patients by self-injecting it into the side of the penis.

Please note: This treatment can only be prescribed to males. If you’re ordering this from a female’s account, your order will be declined by our doctors for patient safety reasons. Please make sure that all orders come from the account of the patient who will be taking this medication.

What is Invicorp?

Invicorp is an injection used to treat erectile dysfunction. It is marketed by Evolan Pharma. It can be prescribed online to patients who need assistance with getting an erection, provided that the patient has used this treatment before on the instruction of a doctor and they’ve been shown how to use it, in person, by either a doctor or nurse.

The fact that the treatment provided by Invicorp is injected makes it very different to a lot of other ED medications available to buy (such as sildenafil, Cialis and tadalafil which are tablets that are swallowed instead).

How does an Invicorp injection work?

Invicorp provides what is called an intracavernous injection. It is intended to be injected into the spongy tissue on either side of the shaft of the penis. When applied, the injection administers Invicorp’s two functioning agents which are aviptadil and phentolamine mesilate.

The latter ingredient lowers arterial blood pressure in the area the injection is applied, allowing for blood to flow more easily to the penis. Aviptadil works in a similar way but its main goal is to make blood stay within the penis once it is aroused, allowing for better and lasting erections.

How do I store Invicorp?

Invicorp injections should be stored in a refrigerator (between 2-8 degrees centigrade). You should not store this treatment in the freezer and it should not be administered if the treatment has passed its expiry date (shown on the carton).

How do I use Invicorp?

Invicorp injections can be taken either as soon as they are removed from the refrigerator or they can be brought to room temperature first before use. If you do choose to let it go to room temperature, then Invicorp should be taken within 24 hours after its removal from the fridge.

Always use this medicine as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The product should come with an information leaflet which includes a detailed, step-by-step guide on how to use the syringe and inject in the safe and correct manner.

How long does Invicorp take to work?

The self-injection of Invicorp does not work immediately but it should only take a little bit of time for you to obtain an erection once used. The erection should be sufficient enough to have sexual intercourse.

The amount of time the erection will last is normally no longer than one hour. You should contact a doctor or nearest hospital emergency department immediately if you have an erection that lasts over 4 hours after taking Invicorp.

How often can I use Invicorp?

The maximum dose when using Invicorp is one injection per day and no more than three injections per week. If you inject yourself with Invicorp more times than stated in the instructions, then contract your doctor, pharmacist or nearest hospital emergency department right away.

What are the side effects of Invicorp?

It is possible to experience side effects after using Invicorp, but the vast majority of them are rare so chances are you won’t even notice any. The most common possible side effects are flushing of the face and upper part of the body, as well as bruises around the injection site.

On rare occasions, Invicorp can cause more serious side effects including the following:

  • A long lasting and painful erection
  • Chest pain and angina
  • Difficulty breathing or heart attack

Contact your doctor or nearest hospital emergency department right away if you experience any of these particular side effects. Other rare side effects that can happen after taking Invicorp include:

  • Headaches and dizziness
  • Increased heart rate or abnormal heart beat
  • Pain at the site of injection
  • Accumulation of blood under the skin around the injection site
  • Small nodules on the penis may occur following repeated injections

Am I ok to use Invicorp?

Before you are prescribed or start using Invicorp injections, you need to be sure that it is safe for you to do so based on your current health circumstances. For instance, you should let your doctor or pharmacist know if you are taking any other medicines before you use these injections. No other medicines for erectile dysfunction should be taken while also using Invicorp.

As a precaution, you should speak to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse if you’re thinking of using Invicorp but either of the following apply to you:

  • You suffer from heart or lung problems or have previously had a stroke
  • You have a history of mental illness or addiction

Do not use Invicorp if any of the following apply to you:

  • You have or have previously had leukaemia (blood cancer)
  • You have or have previously had multiple myeloma (bone cancer)
  • You have or have previously had sickle cell anaemia or trait (blood diseases)
  • You are taking blood thinning medicines (like Warfarin or Heparin)
  • Your doctor has advised you not to have sex due to your current health condition
  • Your penis is scarred or not straight. This may be referred to as Peyronie’s disease
  • You have abnormal fibrous tissue in the erectile tissue of the penis (cavernosal fibrosis)
  • You have an implant in your penis
