Potency Test Pack

Our potency test pack contains three medicines to treat erectile dysfunction. Depending on which pack you choose, you’ll be able to try a variety of sildenafil (Viagra), tadalafil (Cialis), vardenafil (Levitra) or avanafil (Spedra).

All of the medicines in the packs are part of the PDE-5 inhibitor family, which means that they all work in a similar way to help you achieve or maintain an erection. Despite all of the drugs working in a similar way, the strength of each one varies, meaning that one might not be strong enough for your needs. The pack is ideal for men that are trying medication for erectile dysfunction for the first time, or for those that want to see which other medicines are available before committing to buying a larger pack. Ordering the test pack is cheaper than ordering all three medications separately. This is so that you can give each one a fair trial before deciding which one works best for you.

Each medicine takes around 30-60 minutes to work, with all of them carrying similar side effects. Always read the patient information leaflet to familiarise yourself with any additional side effects that each separate drug might cause.

Never take more than one tablet in 24 hours. Don’t mix the medicines or take a combination of them at the same time.

What is the potency test pack?

The pack contains three medications, all intended for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Depending on the pack you select, you’ll receive a mixture of either sildenafil (Viagra), tadalafil (Cialis), vardenafil (Levitra), or avanafil (Spedra). Branded and generic versions are available for sildenafil, tadalafil and vardenafil, which brings the cost of the pack down considerably.

We’ve combined three different medications for you to see which one works best for you. The potency of each drug is different, and you might find that one or two of them aren’t strong enough for your needs. You also may react differently to each one, being able to tolerate the side effects of one, but not another for example.

Many men try several medications for their condition which can end up being costly until they find one that suits them, where other men just stick to one medicine which might not be the most suitable for them. Our potency test pack gives you a way to trial different drugs for erectile dysfunction which works out cheaper than buying all three separately.

What is erectile dysfunction?

Erectile dysfunction is classed as struggling to achieve or maintain an erection. This can be due to many reasons, and it’s a fairly common problem amongst men. Erectile dysfunction has no relation to sexual arousal, as men that are aroused still struggle to achieve an erection. Medications, age, psychological factors and medical conditions all have an influence on a man’s ability to become erect, so medications such as the ones in these packs can have a real positive impact on a man’s self-esteem if he struggles with the condition.

Erectile dysfunction can be embarrassing to talk about, even to medical professionals, so ordering your medication safely online can solve this issue as there’s no need for an actual conversation about the specifics of your performance. All you need to do to order a potency test pack is fill in a short patient questionnaire to make sure that the medicines are safe for you to take.

What do the medicines do?

All of the medications in the pack belong to the PDE-5 inhibitor family of drugs, and are specially formulated to relax the muscles and dilate the blood vessels in the penis, allowing blood to flow more easily into it. This should result in an erection when paired with sexual arousal.

Because they all belong to the same family and have the same goal of helping you to achieve or maintain an erection, it’s important that you don’t mix the medications or take two together. Only one tablet should be taken in a 24-hour period.

How long does each medicine take to work?

All of the medications in the packs take around 30 minutes to start working, with full effects usually being noticeable after an hour. This helps you to determine which one works best for you within this timeframe.

Erections with PDE-5 inhibitors shouldn’t last for more than 4 hours, but if you notice that you still have one after this amount of time, please contact your GP or ring 111 for advice on what to do.

What are the side effects of PDE-5 inhibitors?

Most of the medications share similar side effects, but you might react differently to each drug. For example, you may suffer with more severe side effects from one drug than another. The most commonly reported side effects with medicines such as these are:

  • headache
  • dizziness
  • flushing
  • stuffy nose
  • indigestion
  • swelling of skin and mucous tissue
  • sleep disturbances
  • numbness
  • reduced sense of touch
  • fatigue
  • visual disturbances
  • vertigo
  • fast heartbeat
  • pounding heart
  • breathlessness
  • GORD
  • rash
  • red skin
  • back pain
  • muscle pain
  • prolonged erections
  • malaise
  • swelling of eyes
  • allergic reaction
  • anxiety
  • fainting
  • memory loss
  • seizure
  • heart attack
  • high blood pressure
  • low blood pressure
  • nosebleed
  • painful erections
  • chest pain
  • blood in urine
  • penile bleeding

This list of side effects isn’t extensive, but does include common, rare, and unknown frequencies. If you experience any of the above to an alarming degree whilst using the trial pack, please seek medical advice as soon as possible, especially when it involves the heart or pain of any kind.

Always read the patient information leaflet on each pack of medication as there may be specific side effects for each drug that you might need to know about.

Can I use the medicines in the test pack?

All of the medicines have a similar structure, meaning that if you’re unable to take one of them, it’s likely that you won’t be able to take the others in the pack either. Generally, PDE-5 inhibitors are safe for most men, but there are some that should take caution when using them or speak to their GP before considering them. These include those who:

  • are allergic to any ingredients
  • are taking nitrates (usually for chest pain such as angina)
  • take recreational nitric oxide (also known as poppers)
  • use medication for high blood pressure in the lungs
  • have a severe heart or liver problem
  • have had a recent heart attack or stroke
  • have low blood pressure

If you fall into any of the above categories, please see your own GP for advice before ordering the potency test pack through us. There may be other medicines for erectile dysfunction that are more suitable for you, or your GP may give you specific instructions if they deem it safe for you to take PDE-5 inhibitors.
