QV Bath Oil

QV Bath Oil is a treatment which can be used while taking a bath or shower to treat dry skin conditions. It can be used by adults and children as frequently as required against issues such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes and sun damaged skin. QV Bath Oil contains liquid paraffin, which is effective at moisturising skin and forming a protective barrier so that the skin can stay soft for a prolonged period of time. If you are having trouble with dry or irritated skin, then using QV bath oil during the next time you have a bath or shower could help out, and it offers the benefits of being easy to use and fragrance-free.

QV Bath Oil explained

QV Bath Oil is an additive which can be added to a bath in order to treat dry and itchy skin. It can be used by people who are suffering from a skin condition such as eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis or ichthyosis. If you have a rash or sun damaged skin, then QV Bath Oil can be used to treat symptoms associated with these issues. QV Bath Oil can be used by adults and children to help deal with dry, scaly and itchy skin problems.

How does QV Bath oil work?

When this solution is added to a bath, it disperses in the water without leaving any residue, which makes it more pleasant to use. While taking a bath in the water mixed with this oil, it is able to moisturise the skin. This helps to ease any irritation currently being experienced on certain areas of the skin and reduces the chances of experiencing dry skin in the near future.

This treatment contains light liquid paraffin as its main ingredient. It is an emollient which forms a protective barrier over the skin when applied in an appropriate manner. One of the advantages of QV bath oil besides moisturising skin is that it is also fragrance-free, so it can appeal to a wider range of people who may experience dry skin symptoms.

Who can use QV Bath Oil?

QV bath oil can be used by adults (including the elderly) as well as children/infants. It should only be avoided if you are allergic to any of the ingredients contained in this treatment. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, then it’s worth consulting your doctor or local pharmacist first before you start using this product.

QV bath oil can be used to treat the following:

  • Dry skin
  • Scaly skin
  • Rashes
  • Atopic eczema
  • Ichthyosis
  • Xerosis
  • Sunburnt/sun damaged skin
  • Dermatitis

Using QV Bath Oil

To use QV bath oil, add 4 capfuls of the oil to a bath for adults or 2 capfuls for children. Those looking to benefit from the oil’s effects should bathe in a bath containing the oil for 10-20 minutes, before gently patting the skin dry.

Although the name suggests you can only use this treatment in a bath, you can also use it while showering too. To use this oil in the shower, apply it gently to the skin and rinse it off after a few minutes.

Can QV Bath Oil cause side effects?

This treatment is unlikely to cause side effects. If you do experience any side effects from using this oil, then it could be the result of an allergic reaction. Speak to a doctor as soon as possible if you experience any side effects from using this product.

Can I get QV Bath Oil without a prescription?

Yes, it is possible to buy QV bath oil without a prescription. If, however, you choose to buy QV bath oil from Doctor-4-U, then you will still need to complete a short medical questionnaire before confirming your order. Your answers will be reviewed by one of our GMC/EU registered doctors. This short consultation is necessary to confirm that the item you’ve chosen is appropriate for you to use and there is no risk of any complications occurring when using this oil.
