Zoely

Zoely is a prescription medication known as an oral contraceptive, of which there are dozens of variations. Also known as “The Pill”, oral contraceptives belong to the family of contraceptives known as hormonal contraceptives, as they manipulate the body’s hormones to prevent pregnancy. Zoely is called a combined pill as it contains both an oestrogen and a progestogen hormone. The Pill is one of the most reliable forms of reversible protection, and doesn’t interrupt sex, making it one of the most popular types of contraception. As it alters your hormones to have its effect, there may be some side effects in the form of mood swings. However, it has the advantage that it can be stopped immediately if the side effects are too much.

If you know Zoely is right for you, you can buy it online safely from a UK doctor such as Doctor-4-U by completing our simple medical consultation and getting a certified prescription.

    • You should take ONE tablet at the same time each day
    • If you miss a dose or take your tablet more than 12 hours later than you should, read the patient information leaflet or speak to a GP or pharmacist for advice, as you may not be protected against pregnancy.
    • If you experience vomiting or severe diarrhoea, this medication may not work effectively. Because of this, it's recommended that you use condoms or other barrier methods for 7 days after you've experienced illnesses like these.

    Buy Zoely online

Zoely is an oral contraceptive pill which is used to prevent pregnancy from occurring following sex. This medication contains two hormones - an oestrogen hormone and a progestogen hormone - which work together to prevent body functions which can lead to pregnancy from occurring. When following the instructions for using this treatment carefully, zoely is a highly effective form of contraception. It is a type of 28-day pill, meaning you take one pill a day for 28 days, and start the next blister pack without a gap. 24 of these pills are active, and 4 are inactive.

You need a prescription from a GMC/EU certified doctor in order to buy zoely online. To buy Zoely from Doctor-4-U, simply complete our online consultation and if you are deemed suitable, we will dispatch your medication usually within 24 hours.

    How does Zoely work?

Zoely contains two active ingredients. The first of these is estradiol, a synthetic version of a naturally occurring oestrogen hormone, and the second is nomegestrol acetate, a type of progestogen hormone. These work in combination to stop an egg being released into the ovaries and then fertilised.

As Zoely does not help protect against sexually transmitted infections (STIs), you should also use a condom for to ensure safer sex, and you should take an STI test every time you have a new sexual partner.

    Who is Zoely suitable for?

Although Zoely is designed for women over the age of puberty and before the age of menopause who want to prevent pregnancy, your medical history may mean it isn’t right for you.

You should not take Zoely if:

    • You are allergic to estradiol, nomegestrol acetate or any of the other ingredients listed in the patient information leaflet
    • You are pregnant
    • You or your family have a history of blood clots
    • You have had angina, a heart attack or a stroke
    • You have had breast cancer, or cancer of the genital organs
    • You have bad migraines
    • You have severe chronic liver disease
    • You have unexplained vaginal bleeding

If you are currently taking any other medicines, then you should inform your doctor or local pharmacist about this before starting zoely. Certain medicines can interact with contraceptive tablets, so it’s important to consult an appropriate medical professional to be sure that this won’t be an issue for you.

It’s particularly important to mention if you are using any medicines which treat the following conditions:

    • Epilepsy
    • Tuberculosis
    • High blood pressure in the blood vessels in the lungs
    • HIV infections
    • Hepatitis C virus infection
    • Fungal infections
    • Other infectious diseases

Also, if you are using any herbal remedies, you should highlight this to your doctor or local pharmacist. Certain ones - particularly St. John’s Wort - are known to be capable of stopping zoely from working properly.

    Can Zoely cause side effects?

Like all medications, Zoely may have side effects, but not everyone gets them. Common side effects include:

    • Acne
    • Changes to your period (including irregularity and heavy periods)
    • Mood changes (including depressed mood and decreased interest in sex)
    • Headaches or migraines
    • Nausea
    • Breast pain
    • Pelvic pain
    • Weight gain

Taking Zoely increases your chance of getting a blood clot, which can be very dangerous. Fortunately, the increase is only slight, but you should seek medical attention immediately if you think you may have developed a blood clot. Blood clots are more likely:

    • With increasing age
    • If you smoke
    • If you are overweight
    • If you have high blood pressure
    • If a close relative has had a heart attack or stroke at a young age
    • If you have a high level of fat in your blood
    • If you get migraines
    • If you have a problem with your heart
    • If you have diabetes

There is a possible small link between Zoely and breast cancer, which you can read about in the patient information leaflet.

    Zoely dosage instructions

Zoely is known as a 28-day pill, which means you take one pill per day (24 white active and 4 yellow inactive tablets) for 28 days until the blister pack is finished, then start the next pack without a gap. When you begin taking Zoely, take the first pill on the first day of your period.

Make sure you take Zoely at a similar time of day each day. If you miss one of these tablets, then the most appropriate action to take will depend on what type of tablet you’ve missed, when you missed it and if more than one tablet has been missed. Consult your patient information leaflet to learn what action to take in your circumstances. If you’ve missed just one tablet, then in most circumstances your contraceptive protection may be unaffected. Alternatively, using additional barrier methods for a temporary period may prove necessary.
